Stainless Steel is an alloy of primarily steel, with chrome and nickel. It is a strong non-ferrous metal with a high resistance to corrosion and rust. Furthermore, there is a variety of types of stainless steel depending on the percentage of the comprised materials. The market price of stainless steel is calculated based the nickel market price from London Metal Exchange (LME).

Brass, also called “yellow copper (odou)”, is a mixture of copper and zinc and has a gold-like appearance. It is easy to use and resistant to corrosion so it is widely used for machine parts, everyday items, instruments, and craft items. If it is mixed with impurities or if it is coated with another material, then it is separated into “komi brass” also called Honey.

Gunmetal is a mixture of copper and tin and is resistant to abrasion and corrosion. It is also called “blue copper” sometimes, and is widely used for water valves. It has a higher percentage of copper than brass making it more expensive.
